"The photos online are far from what it looks like now, clearly older photos. Far from what I expected when I booked it for the price they charge. All the staff are absolutely amazing and were very polite, helpful and cheerful. Iv stayed at much nice apartments in makati for less costs and much more cleaner and not outdated. Doors are falling apart, fire detector was handing from the ceiling, bathroom glass and tiles are not as clean and old and look nothing like the fresh modern photos on their advertising for the property, the kitchen bench top is very old and painted black and looks horrible, for the price I paid i expected higher standards. Location and staff are the high points"

"I was upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment because they ran our pf the room type i booked. However, they had to locked 2 bedrooms so I was still given access to 1 bedroom in a very big apartment for 1 pax. Hotel is dated and old... needs refurbishment"

Using the shower area is unsafe as it seemed poorly designed. the water container provided in the room was messy, which was disappointing. It would be much better if the hotel could provide bottled water instead for convenience and hygiene. Another issue was the noise level. The sound from outside was quite disruptive, indicating poor ventilation or insulation. It made it difficult to relax and get a good night's sleep so now like someone laughing loudly and opening the door is truly making me awake, reason I have time to leave a review. For a hotel advertised as five-star on your website, this was far from a five-star experience—especially for someone like me who enjoys staycations. It absolutely did not meet expectations. These issues need improvement for a better guest experience."

"The Peninsula Hotel in Makati is a true 5 star luxury hotel. I’ve stayed many times and always so impressed I do not look anywhere else. It is well appointed and the staff is over the top welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is first class with a wide variety. The pool area is wonderful. Conveniently located next to the Greenbelt area."

"The staff are friendly, location is great, but this time the room cleanings were not good enough, the carpet need to be replaced and clean also I asked the housekeeper to change bed sheets because it has a black stains. I booked the room for almost a week and last night I found letter from room head same like you don’t have the right to ask for late check out although I didn’t request it, it wasn’t very nice and I replied to him already. In front of the hotel a heavy sound of construction work."

"Toilet is really slippery but you don't have to worry, since it's narrow, you'll still be standing even if you slipped, elevator is out of order, good thing we've packed lightly, I can't imagine those who've booked here with full luggages, as the rooms are in the 3rd and 4th floor, they managed to fix it the following day. Don't expect much on the free breakfast. Cleanliness is okay, Service can be further improved, staff in the morning doesn't even greet you, I don't know if they're having a bad day or what."
